what specs in a laptop do I need to play GTA V on normal settings. notghin too fancy. my budget is $250 but I can do higher if I must.

Unless you are looking at used laptops, you will need to double your budget, at the least. For used stuff, a system with a 940mx video card should handle GTA V on low settings, maybe a 960m would be in your budget.

For new stuff, any system with a 1050 card would be good, they start in the low $600 range.
