Laptop to TV screen is too small

So I connect my Acer Aspire E 15 Start laptop to my samsung tv using a hdmi cable which connects fine however the screen is small and in the middle of the tv, I used the ratio setting on my laptop and nothing, I changed the picture setting on tv and nothing, there is no aspect ratio options on my tv so I have no idea what to do. My laptop worked fine when connected to my old tv (can't remember the make)

Have you tried changing the resolution of your laptop to the highest? If that doesn't work do also check the settings of your TV if there's anything about Auto Adjust that should make your TV work with the laptop's resolution better. Another troubleshooting step would be to uninstall/reinstall the graphics driver of your laptop.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to the graphics card.
- Once completely uninstalled, download and install the latest driver.
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed then test it again.

What model of TV? Screensize? available resolution? you are running the 4400 graphics it may have a problem with it
