Hey guys. I have read through and tried some fixes, but none seem to work. My keyboard is typing in different letters than I am typing. This only happens on my laptop, not on my wireless keyboard. To clarify, this is a lenovo thinkpad edge circa 2010

Specifically, when I type e, i commonly get p and [delete] instead.

When i type d, i get \;

For C, i get this mess "cb

I can't figure out what's happening and i thought i would try this before i brought it in somewhere. thanks!

ps I typed this on my keyboard and it took nearly 10 minutes with all thpp\;ting

that last bit was unedited and supposed to say "the editing"

I have also tried changing the language setting, no dice

Must be the keyboard driver.. the wireless keyboard (thorugh USB receiver) afaik don't require drivers.. that's what makes the difference.

Apply as necessary in this order:
1. Scan for virus (keyboard drivers get infected),
1a. Scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware
2. Try reinstalling the keyboard drivers,
3. Install the Microsoft IntelliType driver,
4. And if necessary after that, run KeyTweak to remap the necessary keys
