Laptop vs Desktop?

Im wondering how much would it be to buy or build (preferably buy a pre built) that can run Dayz standalone on high(Ive heard its cpu intensive is that true?) for 600-800$. Im doing this because this laptops charging port is very bad and keeps breaking resulting in repairs in the 100$ range
