Laptop Vs Desktop

Hey there everyone, I have a few questions about computers. I am new to the gaming laptop/pc world and I just ordered myself a new Origin PC. But I am starting to rethink my decision. Now I know there are multiple threads like this, but not many like mine. So as I said, I just ordered my self an excellent gaming pc from Origin, but I am starting to think I should have gone with a laptop, because my parents are divorced and I switch houses every two days. Now I know the obvious answer would be to get a laptop, but my parents are literally 30 seconds away while driving. I already have a MacBook Pro, but that just doesn't cut it gaming wise. So I was wondering, was it stupid of me to get a desktop when I need mobility?

Gaming performance isn't even comparable between laptops and desktops, assuming same budget range. You should've got a small form factor build, something like a BitFenix Prodigy/M would be easily transportable.

But a laptop may last longer if the desktop is transported alot.

desktop all the way, id only get a laptop as a secondary gaming machine.

1000$ desktop specs on a laptop would cost probably over 2000$

Yes but you see he needs to transport the desktop and bought the thing to carry it around.
