my laptop will not boot up. I have lost the recovery disc. Toshiba Satellite Laptop L355-S7905

It might be Fast Startup causing the problem. Can you remove the battery & AC adapter, press & hold the power button for at least 5 seconds, then reconnect power and try again?

You can also try replacing memory or reseating it.
