Hi,
I have a Lenovo laptop which is about 2 years old. It has a GeForce Go 7300 dedicated graphics card with 256mb of dedicated memory and 2gb of the available 4gb system memory available to it.

When I try and run my external LG display native resolution of 1680x1050 from the laptop VGA port, the colour is fine but text looks blurry /smudgy when compared to the laptop display. I've tried changing settings of the display but cannot get it looking "good".

Is there anything I can do to improve the quality of the image on the external display?

I have heard of external graphics cards and seen a few on ebay, are these an option?

Thanks for any help.

Are you trying to run it to a monitor or a TV? If it is a TV, you can get the blurry display that you are talking about if the TV is a bit older, etc... You can try adjusting the zoom level and such to improve things. If it is a monitor, I'd recommend trying another VGA cable to see if that helps.

It's to a PC monitor, I've tried another VGA cable with much the same result. I presume either the VGA signal is not as good as DVI or the graphics card in my laptop is not powerful enough.
Thanks,
