Laptop with Mobility HD 5870 UNDER $1000 ???

Does ANYBODY know of a laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 that is under $1000?

There aren't any notebooks with 5870M for under $1000,the cheapest option is
MSI GX640 which costs about $1100

Thanks Maziar, that's pretty close to what I am looking for. I am going to keep this question open for a little bit longer just in case someone finds a laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 that is under $1000.

So, does ANYBODY know of a laptop with a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 that is under $1000?

You aren't gong to get any answers because there aren't any laptops with 5870M for under $1000 period.

ya maziar is right. but just for ur info, the 5850 in the GX640 is by name a 5850 but infact its much better.. its more like a slightly lowerclocked 5870m (or a very high clocked 5850), and because of this labelled a 5850 and not a 5870. if u look at the benchmarks, u will be surprised to see how low the difference in benchmarks actually is.. infact i will give u the comparison right here and now..

FPS of GX640 : 30.8
FPS of notebook with 5870 and core i7 720qm: between 30.8 and 31.8 (taken from different notebooks)

FPS of GX640: 46.7
FPS of 5870 with i7 720qm: between 48.7 and 51.1

DIRT 2: 1920x1080 ultra preset AF, 4x AA
FPS of GX640 :31.8
FPS of 5870 with i7 720qm: 29.5 to 33.8


as u can see, there barely any different. just a few FPS, at most 3 to 4 FPS.. not worth extra money i would say.

I highly doubt it, the 5850M used in MSI GX640 isn't OC'd by default, and its slower than a 5870M,so your results maybe from a OC'd card.

well in most laptops such as Aspire 5943G-728G64, the 5850 is 800@625MHZ, while in the GX640 its 1000@625MHZ...

...atleast thats what notebookcheck says.

Not anymore,because posting the same thing more than once is called duplicating and since there won't be any laptops with a 5870M under $1000 for now(maybe until the next gen cards),this thread is closed.
Check some online stores for prices.
