Hello everybody.
Hello everybody
I have this laptop that I am assembling , just for fun.
I am a beginner, so please be patient.
I assembled the laptop Acer Aspire 5680 fully and it was working alright. Only the touchpad/mouse was not working. So I fiddled with it, taking care not to damage the mobo but in the end the laptop would not boot anymore.
What puzzles me is that I plug the charger/adapter into the socket and press the power button but not even the green power led will go on. The laptop is totally "dead".
I checked the charger voltage and it was OK.
The thermal paste was new . After it went bust, the fan would not go on. Could it be the CPU the problem? I don't know.
Have you any ideas?
Thanks a lot and best regards.
