laptop wont play pc games

hi ive just got the newest Lenovo laptop,tried a few different pc games in the disk drive but its not bringing up he menu to run it,the laptop is reading the disks but the games just wont run,had a look on window media player and the game is on there but when you try play the game it just says the disk is empty,any idea,s would be welcome thanks

Some games require a 3D accelerator and a lot of laptops fall short.

Autorun was turned off in Windows a while ago due to security problems. You will need to open explorer up and run the setup on the DVD.

It's an lenovo 15.6 gold notebook, Intel pentium quad core n3530 processor, 1tb hard drive, 4gb ram built in dvdr

But n3530 is weak for gaming. 4GB ram might not be enough for new AAA games.

I've been trying to run really old pc games like nancy drew, not sure if the laptop recognises it as a cd or dvd it won't even play cd, s but it brings up the game on Windows media player it just won't play the game
