Hello, help?!! So far have returned 17" Samsung, terrible keyboard, and Acer C7 notebook because google will not allow Java on this machine, and I play Yahoo Spades daily.

The Chrome OS does not plan to support Java at this time. If you had the chrome browser on another Operating System (i.e. Mac, Windows) it will work.

Until Yahoo! decides to support the new HTML5 format, you will not be able to play Spades on a Chrome Operating System.
