I am looking at an HP 15.6 with Windows 7 Intel corei3 2350M processor 4GB memory and 640GB hard drive. Will this work for gaming, especially League of Legends and Warcraft

By Warcraft I assume you mean World of Warcraft, if that is the case then yes it should run on low/medium. As for League of Legends, from what I've heard it should run on low/medium as well but you may want to go to the League of Legends forums. I'm sure there are plenty of topics on this, just look for Intel HD 3000 (The type of graphics your laptop will have). If you want to see a bit more about Intel HD 3000 Graphics and what kind of FPS you should expect, here is a link: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000.37948.0.html

Although very off topic, I do not see the attraction to league of legends, I feel like that game is a massive money making scheme. Dota 2 is going to be free to play and full access to all content that is not purely cosmetic, and I always thought LoL looked and felt like a hokie rip off as well.

umm the pricing for LOL is the same as Dota 2 (both free), so stop your fan boy remarks that doesn't contribute at all to the topic.

While Hd3000 is good, I'd def go for trinity. AMD 10s are far superior in graphic and will allow for much better visuals in the gameplay without having to pay for the premium of a dedicated graphcis card.

Something like this could be a good buy:

Fair enough, didn't mean to thread jack, I just recall not having access to all the characters immediately, maybe this is not the case, but that irked me. Don't have to chew my head off 😉!

And so he can't yell at me anymore 😛 here is an article talking about LoL running on an PC with the same integrated graphics, albeit on an i5 CPU, which shouldn't make a huge difference.

Still a bit off topic but how would you measure up Dota 2 graphics compared to LoL graphics?

It is different, I have not actually tried playing LoL on full graphics but it seemed much more cartoony to me, I dunno if it is better or not when maxed out. If you played the original DOTA, Dota 2 reminds me much more of that stylistically.

And I am not a Dota fanboy btw, I don't play it religiously or anything but I am a huge fan of the concept, I played AoS the DOTA precursor way back in the day. I just thought that in LoL you did not get access to all characters at first, and I don't like the idea that someone can spend money immediately to have an advantage. If they changed that, then by all means, it is just as good as Dota, just different.

According to that Ultrabook article, people were running it on high, and I don't think the i3 would cause any slow down for it. Those stats running on the HD3000 alone should show it will work.

That dude has another article about games on the HD3000 ( http://ultrabooknews.com/2012/04/20/6-great-games-for-ultrabooks-and-hd3000-graphics/3/ ) , and I had seen another article talking about what games run well on integrated graphics, specifically in Ultrabooks, and remember seeing LoL on it. I think most integrated graphics solutions should be acceptable, I have heard before that AMD integrated graphics are better because they have focused on it for longer, but I do not know how much "fanboy" (had to sneak in my last bit of snarkiness 😛) talk is in there.

I've run it on an i3 2310m and an i5 2520m and both allowed for high settings with shadows off, but would dip into the 30 fps range in team fights. You can lock in at 60fps though at medium settings and shadows off. Both were at 1366x768 resolution.

Edit: Sorry, by "it" I meant LoL, haven't tried WoW on either configuration.
