laser disc and HDTV

I have a Pioneer CLD-V2400 laser disc player. If I hook it up to an HDTV using composite cables will it work? Is there a chance it will show up in black and white instead of color?

Many TVs have a combined component/composite video input so you have to connect to the correct RCA jack (usually the "Y" or green) and set the TV to composite in one of the menus. If you don't set the input to composite you will get a black and white picture.
