Lenovo G505 Windows 8.1 Dim (black) screen.

I have tried all the solutions to try and get the screen working again.
Ive tried draining the power, removng the battery, using the ac only, nothing has worked to bring my screen to brighter light. Everything is working well, when i move the screen to a bighter light, i can faintly see everything on it.
So, is there any solution to ths? Do i have to replace the screen?
Also, doses the this laptop have an inverter? and where is it located and how do i change It?

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help but it seems like it's already a hardware problem. (LCD)
- First is to test the GPU and LCD if it's working properly.
- Connect an external monitor onto your laptop and see if the display will be normal or not.
- If the display is normal on the external display that could mean it's the built in display that is faulty.
- Open the laptop and check the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard.

- If all these will not work then the solution would be to replace the LCD itself.
