Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 HD or Dell Inspiron 15r SE FHD

Hi there,

I have just checked 2 laptops (Lenovo Ideapad Y580 HD & Dell Inspiron 15r SE (N7520) FHD with almost the same price. Can anybody please let me know which one should I go for.

I didn't have used FHD display laptops so didn't have any experience with that, I'm using 1366x768 screen laptop from last 3 years & currently very happy with, but its getting old as it has a duel core processor & causing some regular stability problems.

I'll be using this for some Graphic design, 3d rendering, after effects & a couple of games (BF3, Dirt3, Crysis2).

3rd Gen Core i7, 8GB DDRIII, Nvidia GTX 660m (2GB), HD Led, Blue-ray, Numpad (Full Keyboard), Backlit keyboard

Dell Inspiron 15r SE:
3rd Gen Core i7, 8GB DDRIII, AMD Radeon 7730 (2GB), FHD, Superdrive, keyboard without Numpad & Backlit.

Get the Y580. Has blue-ray drive and the graphics card will outperform the 7730 by a good amount.

Get the Y580. Has blue-ray drive and the graphics card will outperform the 7730 by a good amount.

Anytime go with Y500 or Y580. Both of them beat the 15R SE anytime when it comes to delivery of high end graphics. Additionally for Y500, you will get spare bay to hook up another graphics card, also a hdd bay to add one more Hard disk drive. In any angle Y series here is the Best bet.. Good luck!
