Lenovo Laptop isn't shutting down properly

The problem is, my laptop has the shutting down circle on the screen for hours now, like 10hours and it hasn't shut down yet.

Was it in the middle of installing Windows updates? Has it done this before? Have you noticed any other odd behavior with it?
