Question Lenovo Tablet freezes when ffwd streaming

I have a Lenovo M10 3rd gen. W/ 4GB ram and 128GB native storage / Android 12. It satisfies my needs in every way but one. While streaming from my Dish DVR if I use the Ffwd or Rwd, more than 2 or 3 times my tablet will completely freeze, the buttons will be inoperable and I will have to let it sit for 2 to 3 hours before it unfreezes. In doing research on this I found it is a known problem at least with some tablets, usually blamed on Sling software that does not clear the buffer so it becomes over loaded and freezes. My question is, 1) is there anything I can do about this or 2) can anyone recommend a tablet that is sophisticated enough to overcome this issue or do I need to simply sit through the commercials.
