Hey all,

Are the following two laptops the same? I wish Lenovo would just use their SKU on their product page but I cant seem to find it.

http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y50/?sb=:000001C9:000120E6:

http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-15-6-Inch-Touchscreen-Gaming-59426255/dp/B00K6ZIFFG/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1410196110&sr=1-3&keywords=lenovo+y50

I would prefer to order on Amazon due to Prime shipping.

Also! If you have suggestions for a better laptop than the one I selected, please let me know! Thanks.

I have the y40 and I gotta say, this is the most tight and well built laptop I've come across. I would compare the finish and build quality on my particular model to an Apple product.

Ah I should have mentioned a few things. Weight is a concern as this is going to be moved around a lot. I do have a custom built desktop. Also, I think I want to keep screen size at 15.6" for portability, as well. Thank you for the thought though!

I'm looking at the same machine though, right? And there is no more preferable version of the Y50? I was thinking about non-touch for battery life but now not sure...

We can't really tell you if you will like a touch device or not. The y50s are all the same whether you buy it from amazon's or lenovo's website, They can be configurable though. The y50s are great for portability and they perform quite well.
