Lenovo y50 for movies

Is Lenovo y50 1080p good for watching movies??

The Y50 is a model series, sub-models have different hardware specs but regardless, yes, even the base model Y50 will provide a very nice movie watching experience

I'd imagine the more recent model will provide a better experience due to its IPS display, however it might be worth looking for information on the experience of the 4k model.
One thing I think is a major benefit to that is the 48Hz refresh rate being double 24 FPS for films. It would supposedly look better than on a 60 Hz monitor (though I'm not sure if that's actually true)
