I would like to buy a gaming laptop and from what I've found the Lenovo Y510p offers the best specs for my budget. I am, however, concerned that the laptop may have overheating issues, as on my current (not very good) laptop more taxing games (for example, Star Wars: Battlefront 2) become unplayable after approx. half an hour. The only difference between the two models is that the 59370007 has 8 GB of RAM and an i7-4700MQ processor, while the 59370006 has 16 GB of RAM and am i7-4702MQ processor (200 MHz lower clock speed and lower voltage) and also costs about $100 more. Is it worth it buying the more expensive laptop, because the performance is higher over a long period of time (less performance loss due to overheating) or does it even make much of a difference?

Solution
the 4700mq and 4702mq are almost identical in performance there's no reason to go with the 4700mq if it's going to bite even deeper into your wallet
and also if you dont need 16gbs of ram then 8gbs will be perfectly fine
the two laptops are almost identical performance
