My laptop has white/grey lines upon startup, this happens when I bootup, only sometimes works, right now I am in safe mode and it seems like the problem is gone, but if I boot into normal mode it does not work. I dont know if it is a driver problem or something, it works in safe mode so it cant be a motherboard issue, as we speak I am downloading drivers from lenovo site, the drivers seem to be earlier version than my current driver versions, any solutions? Why would the laptop be doing this

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Do a clean install of the graphics driver from Safe Mode with Networking.
- Open Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Once done, do also uninstall anything related to Nvidia in Programs and Features.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- Reboot your laptop to the normal mode and see if it will work or not.
- If it will not work, connect an external monitor and see if you'll get the display from it normally.
- If it doesn't work your do a System Restore, bring it back to an earlier date or time when it was working normally.
- Here's how to run System Restore: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-PH/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc
- If System Restore will not work last option would be to reinstall Windows.
