So, I have this lenovo laptop and while I was playing a game today the computer just suddenly turned off completely and would not turn on. It's not under warranty btw, when I opened it and looked inside everything looked normal. Except the led lights were not on. I tried taking out the battery and holding the power button but that didn't work with or without the adapter. I also tried just using the adapter and neither worked. But there's an area on my motherboard near the fan that's hot for some reason. I have no idea what to do.

Hi,

It seems like one of the component of your laptop has failed already mostly this could be a motherboard issue and a repair or replacement is required. Last thing you want to try is to re-seat the all the RAM. Turn the laptop off remove the battery and the AC adapter then remove the RAM. Put everything back in after couple of seconds then see if it would turn back on. If these steps didn't work contact Lenovo support as a repair is needed by your laptop.
