Lg 50 inches no signal

l just bought a new 50 inches tv, when connect to hdmi cable it continues to show no signal , l try the cable on the old tv and it worked perfectly, my laptop is acer aspire 5738z. pls help me

on the 50 inch tv are you on the right imput setting? have you tried all of them?
