Solved! LG magic remote not working

I keep trying to register my magic remote to lg tv it turns it on and off only. But while it is registering it works but as soon its registered to the tv nothing works but the on and off button.

I picked a manual at random and scanned through the page(s) relevant to the Magic Remote and its' configuration.

Seems to be a number things that can go "wrong". E.g., being just too close...

Try again and if the remote is still not working try the troubleshooting section.
