Solved! LG Oled55B7P connected to Sony HT-SF470, no surround sound.

Just got a new LG OLED557BP. Trying to connect it to my home theatre system which is a bit old..
I can get sounds out of the front speakers and the sw but it's been impossible to get the 2 rear speakers to work either through S-Air or by directly connecting to the receiver.
I've tone tested to make sure the 2 rear speakers were working and they do have sound coming out of it.
Its connected through ARC and have tried connecting through optical as well.
On the TV itself, it shows surround is off, no option to change to on.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

It was a setting issue on the Sony speakers. Apparently 5.1 will only work under the A.F.D. multi setting on the HTS.. Not the best but at least all the speakers work now.

Did you try turning the TV speakers off? That might allow you to select surround sound audio out from the TV.
