LG or Samsung, which LED TV to get?

I have LG LCD TV, about 8 years old, now want to replace it with LED TV, I found two deals one of Samsung UA40H4200 40'' Series 4 and other is LG 42-Inch Full HD LED TV [42LB550A], any help on which one I should get from these two?

I have used both LG (LG 42LB5820) and Samsung (Series 5) .. but picture quality of lg is better.. currently using LG 42LB5820 and believe me amazing experience.. the lg model you mentioned is not smart tv.. but if you dont need smart tv features you can go with it...

Yeah, I am not looking for a smart TV as I have Chromecast to take care of such features, I am also leaning towards LG, thanks for the suggestion.

Btw this model of LG has 50hz refresh rate and Samsung one has 100hz, does this matter?
