LG 60UH8500-UH stopped working the other day. It powers on then goes to black after about 3-4 seconds. I checked with flashlight and screen is visible. Opened back panel and all looks good, no signs of bad capacitors. Was going to buy new tv, but plugged in yesterday just to see and everything seemed to work fine. Watched tv for about an hour, turned tv off and on again multiple times and seemed fine. A couple hours later it has reverted back to the same issue. Sound does work. Any Ideas?

The backlight, inverter board or power supply is faulty.

Could be a defective capacitor. Have a look at the boards for something like this:
