Little brag today... (and odd label)

A quick stop at a Goodwill turned up just a few things. A NES Power
Pad in a very well worn box with Official Player's Guide to Nintendo
book inside (3 NES manual inside that book!) and a CIB Frogger for
Intellivision. Oh yeah a $0.29 CIB iTrip Mini for the iPod.

The Frogger box contained 2 more Inty games. One was Burgertime (with
spotty label) and another is Skiing with odd label. It looks like 2
different label: one regular blue label from Mattel (I can barely make
out the original label letters through the white label) and another
white label from Intv. The label shows no sign of tampering like
pealing and transplating.

Did I happen to find a cart that was right in between the shutting
down of Mattel Electronics and starting up of Intv? Picture of the
label is at http://personalpages.tds.net/~wilykat/100_3214.jpg (145k)
and another without flash to show that faint lettering of the original
label underneath: http://personalpages.tds.net/~wilykat/100_3215.jpg
(131k) The second picture is a bit blurry without flash but you can
see it.

First off, congratulations on the finds, secondly, I suspect you have a
VERY RARE CARTRIDGE on your hands. Just to be sure, consult the man who
is, as far as I'm concerned, the ultimate authority on Intellivision,
"Intellisteve". He just so happens to also run the greatest
intellivision website IN THE WORLD, the INTV Funhouse.

Space Boss, you did not give credit to Intvman. Maybe a link to the Intvfun
house might help also. Not hard to figure out though.

This was not a rare practice of Intv Corp as they bought off the old stock
of Mattel games. Being lazy, Intv Corp decided just to put their label on
top of the Mattel label. See http://intvfunhouse.com/games/uski.php as an
example.

That's being *pretty* lazy.
