Hello, a laptop was stolen from my school and my teacher/ceo asked me to look up ways to track it down and find it. can anyone help?

should have put a remote desktop program on it like "Logmein" or something similar, then, the next time that laptop was online, you could remote into it and get the IP address and track it down.

Other than that, if the hard drive is wiped and a new operating system is re-installed, consider it a lost cause.

agreed, if you have the receipt, you can monitor the local sales directories and see if the product ID matches the one on the receipt as well...
