Hello everyone,
Please I need opinion of someone who tried both the G35 and the razer surround software pro version, my main goal is to get accurate positioning surround sound when I am playing BF4 in multiplayers, I own already the razer surround pro version and good headphones and I think it works not bad in positioning after some of tweaking (there is some delaying tho), and I was thinking to get the logitech G35 hoping that it will give me better results.
p.s. I am not going to listen to music on the logitech one it's only for gaming.

By mistake I post this in vedio games forum first so please kindly if one of the admins can delete it from there. thanks

I used the g35 for about 2 years. never had any issues determining player position, sound quality is great. so id definitely recommend them for that.

The build quality on the other hand could be much better. Within a few months the leathery coating on all the cushions starts to flake/peel off. Gets really gross looking.
Also there are small plastic plates above where the cups pivot. These break very easily. both sides of mine started cracking after about 7 months. (i did drop it a few times). i ended up replacing them with the g430's which i only had for a few months before one ear cup broke completely off. I use astro a40's now.

Also, you shouldn't need razers software. G35's have their own simulated surround.

Imo they don't make that much of a difference, sure the g35 ia great and all but it doesn't worth it if you already have a good headphones and a decent 3d sound simulating software.

My experience with Razer surround pro is it distorts audio in some way but every 7.1 headset does it compare to a stereo one and you did mention you are not going to listen to any music with it. So just use you surround pro with your headphones when you game, turn it off otherwise. It's good enough.

Edit: various spelling mistakes...

Thank you for replying :)
that is what I did after all, I did more experiment with razor surround pro and I found when I turn everything off except stereo enhancement and set in BF4 device to headphones and the sound to surround it simply become WOW I get better result that makes me think really what could be better than that :) I am able to spot the other players very well and waiting for them behind the walls :) a part from that I think surround is useful anyways when you play with few player so it makes deference to use surround to hear their foot steps but if you playing in crowded game surround might be over kill and so annoying I found my self turning the volume down then!
So like you said I end up loving the razor pro and not getting anything else and turn it off when I am not playing.
