LogMeIn FREE alternative?

Hello, I have been using LogMeIn to manage my Minecraft server (located in my garage ) and i just got notified that they are getting rid of the free version. I really can't pay for it. I need another free, very very very low memory and cpu use remote desktop program. I would like to control a Windows XP pc with a Windows Vista ( i know, it's vista 🙁) pc which are both on ethernet on the same network. Also, it'd be prefferable if it also had a free or cheap android app.

I think Teamviewer has enough features for the job and it's free for personal use.

You might also want to try Realvnc

In logme in you can restart computer and still stay connected, I don think you can do that in team viewer

Yes, i have tried teamviewer and am not very fond of it. I noticed it makes the server laggy and slow, and also slows down my computer quite a bit. Also, it doesn't respond as fast as LogMeIn

I use Splashtop, has iOS and Android apps and is quick on all my computers (hard and wireless). And best of all free for consumer same network use 😛

TeamViewer... (Just Google it) The latest version is multiple screen capable & does NOT require install on PC (There is a "run once only" option when you run the downloaded file... That way you CAN chose to install OR just run once!!!) it can either share to multiple screens (for presentations) OR u can see multiple screens. RUNS AN ALMOST ANYTHING!!! PC, Mac, Android & I phone as well as others...

It seems latest Chrome versions have also similar capability. There's an extension called "Chrome Remote Desktop" which can work in a way LogMeIn used to work, and in a way TeamViewer works.

Yes however, "Teamviewer" need NOT be installed... it can be a "run once only instance" thus MUCH less of a security risk!!! Unlike ANYTHING Chrome or Google (Google & Chrome comments are "my" opinion only!).
