hmm.. doesnt HP Elitebook have 2 bays and it is still not too bulky?

I dont mean in the ultra portable sense .. just not too bulky as some large desktop replacement ones.

To get secondary hdd in the smaller hp elitebook or laptop of around 15 inch require the removal of dvd drive and use dvd drive bay as 2nd hdd bay. I haven't seen an exception to it yet, including the elite book.

Ok so would you like the 2 hdd or 1 hdd and 1 dvd option? With 1000 ish, 2 hdd on 15 inch are usually aftermarket caddy and DIY installation. Also FHD will be very limiting since 15 inch laptop are mostly lowers res 768p, I recommend external monitor for 1080 so as to not limit your choice. i5 are dual channel so usually 4 or 8 GB ram. For what you do, 4GB will do.

Yes, 1 hdd and 1 dvd option. HD+ is workable and 4GM Ram too.

It's very hard to find matte screen. The only good thing about it is not smudge as badly as glossy. As to reflection problem on out door use, laptop lcd are not that bright so both won't perform well outdoor, unless you get specialised laptop which is really expensive.
