Hello,

New to forum

• Looking for 46" LCD/LED TV
• Budget up to £830/$1300/1000€
• TV will be used for watching SD and Blu-Ray
• Would prefer a 3D one , SONY or SAMSUNG
• Dont care about InternetTV, SmartTV and such

1) After looking on a lot of reviews most of them say SAMSUNG is better
but have had perfect experience with SONY

2) What specs should I look for? I know about constrast and response time but have heard about DNLA and other stuff

3) Is there difference in 3D technology amongst TVs?

Any specific TV reccomendations? or brand reccomendations?

Looking forward to the replies

You realize Samsung has had a ton of problems lately with the caps and flicker, a host of problems. Sony buys their panels from Samsung so that is a moot point.

I am not sure where you live if you have access to a US best buy the LG 55LW5600 is a good 3D option for around $1100. You could also try a ST30 from Panasonic but that is a plasma and not what you are looking for. Taxes will probably push the LG up depending on where you live. It is probably the best bang for your buck 55" out there. They also have a cheaper 47" and 42" if you want a smaller one.

I second that. the LW5600 is a great choice. The best bang for the buck tv would have to be the 47LW5300 IMO. You can get one for $850 right now.

With Sony your basically buying a name, they have all buy given up on their TV business. The lost 900m last year out source all the parts.

I would go with recommendation your not going to get a better TV than the LG at the price.
