Looking for a Laptop for school

Hello Guys,
I'm looking for a laptop for school.
I was wondering if you guys could help me with finding a laptop that I could play games yet still affordable. I'd like to carry it to school as well so that I could use it to do homework on campus.
Some things for it that I would like are:

-under 14inch screen if possible

-the thinner the better (if it doesnt come with a cd drive, i'm ok with that too)

-Under $400, hopefully in the $300-$350 range

-OS (both W7/W8 will work fine)

-Would be great if I can play some games such as League of legends.

I built myself a desktop and so I'm familiar with desktop parts, but when it comes to laptop, I'm not too familiar with its specs.
I currently have a xps 15 laptop, but its just too big and too heavy to carry around everyday. Hopefully I can sell it to get something cheaper and lighter.

Well, the best thing to do is use your desktop for performance tasks and your laptop for portability. Maybe a HP ProBook 455 G1, look for something with an A6/A4 APU. This should get you through any school task (web surfing and word processing) and it would play LoL decently.
