5. all day battery life, no power outlet needed.
6. maybe CS:GO. occasionally

12. any brand is ok, im being open minded. just don't give me a no name company

Well if the memory is too much 8gb is still plenty for schoolwork. The Lenovo seemed like a excellent choice with a 16-hour battery however it doesn't appear to be available anymore but the newer versions might just be as good.

Someone else could probably chime in as well.

As long as your just playing light stuff like CSGO then a iGPU should be more then enough, getting anything with a dedicated GPU is going to destroy the battery life.

^^^This has quite a few solid options, if it were me I'd probably go Dell XPS 13 with the i5-8250U (4C/8T) for $1,000 and upgrade the memory from 8 to 16gb with the rest of your budget.

Thats going awfully close to my budget and the addition of tax and other stuff is going to jump right over it.

ive also look some up as well, how is the x1 carbon 6th gen in your opinion?

It's nice and will meet your needs, per the specs/Lenovo apparently it lasts up to 15 hours which is good.
