Looking for a new laptop

Hello,
I'm looking for a new laptop. I'm a student, so it needs to be light enough to be carried round all day. I use my current laptop for uni work (usually using microsoft office), surfing the net, watching films etc. I'm looking to spend about £300-£600 but obviously if I can get one that suits my needs for less it would be good. Does anyone have any recommendations?
