Looking for a new laptop

so im looking to get a new laptop to replace my 5 year old one that has been blue screening on me. anyway, my budget is about $1500 max, im looking for something portable as i will be carying it to school every day. It will mainly be used for homework (programming) and light gaming, though i would also like to do some game capture on it though an elgato. any suggestions would be awesome.

Maybe something like the 13.3" Asus Zenbook UX303LB for $1,285? It has a dual core i7-5500u, nVidia GT 940m, 12GB RAM, 512GB SSD and a 3200x1600 resolution screen. The QHD resolution screen can be a problem if you use programs that have not been designed to allow Windows to scale up icons and the menu because they will look really, really tiny on a 3200x1600 resolution screen. A 13.3" laptop at 3.2lbs is pretty light and portable. The nVidia 940m should be fine for "light gaming", at lower resolutions.
