Looking for a new laptop

Hey my sister is looking for a new laptop, and I was wondering if the hive mind might be able to point me in the right direction. Below I have listed the specs that she send me as well as her ideal budget. Thank you in advance for any and all help.

Budget - $900 - 1200

Specs- 14-15in, Intel Core i5, 4gb ram, "display that works in sunlight", 3+ hours battery life

uses - Office Suite, statistic simulation tools, engineering modeling, video playback and streaming (no editing)

For the uses listed, Lenovo W model is my favorite. Good screen, about in the right budget and made for engineering use.

There is an "s" model of them that is thinner and lighter.

Good screen, although not many laptops are going to be looking good in direct sunlight.
