1. Is This Your First Time Buying A Tablet? Yes

2. Do you already have an operating system in mind? If so specify (iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, Windows RT, Windows 8, etc)

MUST be Windows 8

3. What screen size do you have in mind? And your preferred resolution (not required but helps)?

Ideally 1080x1920, but realistically I don't really mind.

4. Preferred Brand(s)

None

5. Brands Not Preferred (specify why)

I'd prefer a well known brand over a small independent company, mainly so if it goes wrong its likely someone else has had the problem before and theirs a solution for it.

6. How much do you want to spend on your tablet?

No more than $500.

7. Do you have cellular service? Or do you want the tablet to be WiFi only?

WiFi Only

8. If you do have cellular service, who is your provider and how much data are you allowed per month?

Virgin Mobile, 2 GB a month.

9. Do you want the tablet to be a full laptop replacement?

YES. I am looking to get rid of my schools stock laptop, which is incredibly slow and is riddled with unnecessary software.

10. What existing apps do you use? What do you intend to do with this tablet?

- Microsoft Office
- Autodesk Suite
- Adobe Suite

I'm looking for a tablet with high productivity. It MUST be able to run Windows office, but it should also be able to run .exe's, Otherwise I would buy a Surface 2. I want to use this to mainly process word documents, but also occasionally use Photoshop and a 3D model viewer, or Autodesk Mudbox if the processor is up for the job.

Most cell phone providers and even the smaller ones like Virgin Mobile won't run Windows 8 tablets. Most are currently Wifi only but now that 8" Windows 8 tablets are out (like the Dell Venue) expect that to change relatively soon.

If you want a Windows 8 tablet, here are a few of the better suggestions:

- Asus VivoTab: http://eee.asus.com/en/vivotab/features
- Samsung ATIV Tab 3: http://www.samsung.com/global/ativ/ativtab3.html
- Lenovo IdeaTab Miix: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/ideatab/miix-series/miix10/
- Dell Latitude 10: http://www.dell.com/us/p/tablets-touch.aspx?ref=tile4#!tablets-windows

Most of these - especially the Lenovo and Dell tablets - should fit your budget.
