I want to jump into Video Editing and I'm starting off on a budget. I'm going to be using Hitfilm Express 4. I'm trying to stay in the $1000 range.

Saw this one on Amazon and wondered if it's a solid choice.

This one pushes past the $1000 range, and I don't really want to push past this price for sure. But I found this one through another site's review.

Also found this one as well:

I'm not looking for the best laptop out there with killer insane framerates. I mainly want something that will not just drag when trying to edit because I've put some effects in it.

Also, if you had to put a number on things. What would it be? For example:

1. CPU i7
2. SSD
3. RAM
4. Vid Card (minimum you'd recommend)

Or if this order is not correct. What would you choose? I've never done any of this, and I'm looking for someone with experience, but with a realistic sense to judge based on the budget fact.

Both of these laptops hit the mark on the most important components you will need for video editing. Good processor, good video card, and a good display. My suggestion would be to go with your second choice and maybe invest on an external hard drive depending on how much video editing you are going to do since 256GB may run out quick.

I'm seeing some post about the 1050 ti not being good enough for video editing and that you need to opt for 1060+ with 6gb.

Is this just elitist?

That'll add around $400-$500 more on the price tag it looks like.
