Looking for advice

I have just purchased a Samsung hw-k550 sound bar I cannot get it to switch on

Make sure that the AC outlet it's plugged into is live. Check to make sure there isn't a master switch (usually near the AC cord).
Make sure the remote has fresh batteries fitted correctly.
After that sounds like it's DOA. Time to get it replaced.
