Looking for expert help

Hey guys, I have an android LG LTE smartphone and I don't know how to switch my internal storage which is the main to my external SD card. I don't have any space to download anything cause my internal is full and I don't know if its safe to move the apps to my external. I just want my external as the default storage. Please help!
