Looking for help

I want to get a budget laptop, than can still handle light gaming. I mostly play older games on the go (think morrowind,, gta san andreas, return to castle wolfenstein) and have done so successfully on 1gb of ram in a netbook. so before i get any "lol spend 1000 dollars noob" responses, im not looking for 60-100 fps on the go, as well. but something that can play more modern titles at around 20 fps at least in that price range would be great. my thoughts are probably the alienware m11x, because its an older gaming notebook that was top of the line a few years ago but still stands up today as a mid range one, and theyre now on ebay for the same price as a new notebook today, any other reccomendations? the newest laptops that i could get for free however are the dell inspiron 15n i15n3091bk or lenovo g585, but im not sure if they would be as good as the alienware laptop because a few years ago it was a 1000 dollar + computer with relatively impressive specs. give opinions please

i would also prefer the smaller the better, thats why im thinking the alienware notebook because its barely bigger than a standard netbook
