Im coming from a old macbook air with 4gb ram. I would like to switch to 16gb of ram. Also I am using this for music production, rendering, video editing, and a bit of gaming. So preferably, I would like a 7th gen i7 7700. I dont need a killer graphics card. The laptop should be 15". Lastly, I would like the keyboard or something to have rgb or customizable lighting (like alienware or razerblades). This is not a necesity but would be amazing. Again my budget is 1500$ USD. THANK YOUUUU

PS BATTERY LIFE IS IMPORTANT

Solution

Purely from portability and battery life point. I would recommend Zenbook 3...

For gaming laptops under heavy load, like while gaming, yes.

Weaker laptops often get much more.

Yes, As these are high performance laptops the battery life would be around 2 hours. (2+ hours quoted on the site). Also ti would be heavy (this is 6.83 lbs)

so what would u recommend for good battery life

Purely from portability and battery life point. I would recommend Zenbook 3

9 hours battery with fast charging and just 2lbs. But the screen size is 12.5''.

In 15'' I would recommend the Dell XPS 15. They claim 11.5 hours of Netflix streaming and 19.5 hours of productivity. You get a better graphics card but albeit double the weight. So it all about your priorities. But overall I would recommend this more than the Zenbook cause of the overall value. If portability is the priority Zenbook is better.

Also for Video editing this could be a good option. It has a touch screen and is a convertible so might be helpful in that. I would leave you to be the best judge for it.
