Mainly for school. I want to be able to play games on it (war thunder, battlefield, etc). I will also use autoCAD and such programs on it. Just I do not want it to be a gaming laptop. Preferred companies: Lenovo, HP, Asus, Dell. It must have an optical drive (DVD WRITER or higher), at least 4 core CPU and no less than i5. AMD or Nvidia GPU (preferred GTX 860+), at least 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD or more, 15 inch or 17 inch, 1080p or higher, long battery life (preferred 7 hours or more), and very portable. No more than 1800$. Preferably a removable battery. Touchscreen is optional. Also good cooling and quiet.

You can configure this to your hearts content, in that high of a laptop spec it's hard to find a DVD Writer drive without getting a very large laptop and in my opinion ugly. There is also the custom "Gaming" laptop boutiques you can use which might also be a good option for your very specific needs. I was in the same boat as you I really didn't want a large unattractive, none-portable laptop as I need it for uni however I went for the GS70 but this doesn't have a DVD Drive so I can't recommend it for you.

Um...you just described a gaming laptop.
