At lease Medium for modern games

Acer isn't really a favorite of mine due to low reviews I've seen of them, but if it works good with games then it's fine

For $400, you're probably looking at either used laptops that can do SOME good with not-so-modern games, or 11.6" laptops that are just good for browsing, movies, and well, not much else. Bump your budget to around $650 and you'll actually find a brand new laptop that can play modern games on medium settings with no AA and low AF on around 40-50 fps.
