Loud laptop fan

Hi ,

I have an Asus Ultrabook i3 and since yesterday the fan is very loud . It goes on especially when I open more pages on the internet or open other programs such as Adobe suite but this did not happen before . It works perfectly , it doesn't slow down at all but it is quite noisy and annoying . Do you know what it could be ?

I think it is a known issue to be honest. My old SONY vaio was the same.. it sounds like it is heating up quite a bit. Do you use your laptop on a bed or carpet?

I would download hwmonitor http/www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.26.exe

Run your laptop for an hour or so whilst having it open in the backgroup and paste a screenshot of your temperatures here. Could be heating up.

i have no idea how to post a screenshot here . but i only use it on the desk and i also put a book under the laptop so it can have enough space . So i was running 4 programs from adobe plus the internet and the temperature of the THRM was 48 degrees C ( 118 degrees F )

If the laptop is still under warranty I would contact Asus and ask them as it could be a faulty fan. Or, it could generally just be a loud fan.. Is it dusty?
