I'd like to buy a laptop for around $300. There are a few with 4GB ram and around 250GB of disk. What are some specific model recommendations?

The i3 370 acer looks appealing -- any thoughts on it vs the Lenovo with a B950?

Both have 4gb ram and 500 gb hdd.

The Lenova at newegg is 389, the acer at walmart 409 w/ tax

What are you thoughts on this i3 370 acer vs the b950 Lenovo? RAM and HDD are the same. I have 1 acer at home. How does Lenovo compare? Is the i3 worth $20 more? That's the net of it for me.

Yes you are right and my suggestion was based on better processor and price they are offering is pretty good. I mean good value for money
