Well a couple of months ago they gave me an asus notebook laptop it is a terrible computer when it comes to anything else than watching youtube and writing emails. I have seen on several videos and websites and unofficial adapter to plug in desktop videocards but dont trust this method because i am uninformed and there is so little information on the web. i am considering buying a next gen console but really dont want to do that because of several reasons and i dont want to buy a new computer if a dont have to. I also understand that a strong cpu is needed for future games but as i said before i am not well informed in this subject.

So my question is can I update weather through internal replacement or extrerior adpaters my crappy computer?

The specs are as follow:
Asus sonicmaster F502C Series
CPU: Intel Core i5-3337U, 1.8GHz
Memory: 4Gb
Intel HD Graphics 4000

Like I said it is not the best pc but it works fine and wouldn't like to change it if I can.
Any help will always be helpful. Thanks in advance ;)

If you do not mind a refurbished laptop and buying it from eBay, then consider the Dell Latitude 3540. It is a business oriented laptop with the Core i5-4200u and a Radeon HD 8850m (AMD Venus Pro) which is about equal to a Geforce GT 845m and is selling for $561.

This is the laptop that I have and I bought it refurbished from eBay back in January this year. I bought it because it has a non-glossy (matte finish) 1920x1080 resolution screen and the Radeon HD 8850m offers pretty decent performance for the price I paid which was around $500. The Radeon is not really powerful enough to...
There isn't much upgrade options for you if the goal is to get better performance in games.

Those devices that allow people to attach a desktop GPU to a laptop requires an ExpressCard slot which your laptop certainly does not have. In fact with the exception of a few business laptops in the past recent years, the ExpressCard slot has been going the way of the dodo bird.

It is best to simply save up for a new laptop if you want to play games. Since the laptop was given to you at least you didn't spend your own money on something that has disappointed you.

Here's a link to some videos of games played with the Intel HD 4000.

Thanks for your help!
Is the CPU really that important when it comes to new gen games? What I mean is in this couple of weeks when I buy a new laptop, considering i will buy what is an up to date windows 8 pc, will the CPU be that important when looking for the one I want? I guess that as the graphics card and the GPU increase so will the CPU processor but what do I know. THANKS for everything!

Both the CPU and the graphics chip (GPU) are important for games. You should generally get at least a Core i5-4200u / i5-4210u which is a dual core CPU that has a base speed of 1.6GHz / 1.7GHz, but can ramp up to 2.6GHz / 2.7GHz. As for the GPU, you should get a Geforce 840m if you can squeeze it into your budget. However, at worse the Intel HD 4400 is not too bad if your budget does not allow for a dedicated GPU; it is roughly 25% more powerful than the Intel HD 4000. Still weak compared to a dedicated GPU though.

Here's an example of a laptop that with the specs that I generally recommend if it is within your budget; Acer Aspire V3-572G-54S6. Generally speaking, Acer is an average brand name... some people have no issues buying an Acer laptop, while others would not bother with them.

The Radeon is not really powerful enough to run all games at 1920x1080 resolution with decent performance. I generally play games at 1600x900 resolution instead with medium graphic settings.
