Hi ,I got a motherboard replacement for my alienware 17 R4 ,the previous one had CPU i7 6700HQ and GPU 1070 GTX , after the replacement the new specs CPU i7 7820HK and GPU 1080 GTX but until now i use the previous ac adapter (240watt) because they need time to get (330watt).Sometimes the framerate drops from 120 to 1, the CPU usage reach 100% and highest CPU temperature 88.
The GPU running normally.
should i Use it for important works and wait until get the 330 watt ac adapter.
Thanks!

Yes, wait for the 330 Watt brick. The 1080 typically pulls quite a bit more power compared to the 1070. Using the lower wattage brick likely won't damage anything, but the 1080 can pull around 200 watts just on its own, so you'll need the replacement for anything that puts load on the computer.
